Wits Snap Up Namibian Midfielder

Bidvest Wits have confirmed the signing of Civics FC midfielder, Wangu Gome, on a permanent deal following his loan spell with the club last season.
The Clever Boys had until the end of August to make a decision on whether to sign the 23-year-old from the Namibian outfit, and while he played against Kaizer Chiefs in the first game of the season, it was not known whether it was another loan or a permanent signing.
Now, however, Wits have revealed that Gome is a Clever Boy for the long-term, after a deal was agreed with his former club regarding his move to South Africa.
Wits’ CEO, Jose Ferreira, confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, Gome has been signed on a long-term contract from Civics FC.”
Gome played eight games for Wits last season as they finished as runners-up in the Absa Premiership, however, he will be hoping to feature more this season if given the chance.
