Reports: Manchester United Make Shock Sanchez Decision

With Manchester United still paying half of his huge salary, the club has reportedly made a shock decision on the future of their on-loan Inter Milan winger Alexis Sanchez.

Not many gave the Chilean a chance of ever playing for United again when he left the club for a loan spell at Inter at the beginning of the season, but a surprise report from the Daily Mail suggests that he could do just that.

With the 31-year-old having made little impact in Serie A so far due to a spate of injuries, the Nerazzurri have decided they will not exercise their option to buy, meaning the player will return to the Red Devils.

It has also been claimed that United are looking to prevent the former FC Barcelona and Arsenal winger from staying in Italy permanently as they are seeking to revive his career in England.

The Chile international is even said to be expected to travel with United on their pre-season tour ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Sanchez will reportedly keep his No. 7 jersey at the Old Trafford side, and will have a chance to see out the two remaining years on his contract in the Premier League.

The winger has played just seven times across all competitions for Inter so far this season, contributing to just two goals.
