Manchester United manager David Moyes says his team are looking to bounce back in the league after a 4-1 trouncing they received in their last Barclays Premiership match against Manchester City.
United will take to the field on Saturday as they host West Brom in a league match.
Moyes’ men went a long way to redeeming themselves with a 1-0 win over Liverpool in the a Capital One Cup match in midweek, but Moyes said his side are still hurting from their embarrassing loss to City and want to prove a point against West Brom.
“The players showed they were hurt. We'll try to give the fans something to shout about again,” said Moyes.
“We made seven or eight changes (against Liverpool). We made sure everybody at Man Utd was able to show what they can do.”
Moyes is also pleased with the return to training of injured duo Robin van Persie and Tom Cleverley, and is hoping to use them in some capacity against West Brom.
“Robin will be back involved somewhere,” added Moyes.
“Whether we use him, whether we don't, he trained on Friday. He is back fit and we will see exactly where he is.
“Tom has done a bit of training today as well. He is not too serious. He rocked his knee in training and we were a bit worried.
“But he has had no reaction. He has done some training on Friday and he will not be too far away on Saturday as well.”
