Lebogang Manyama Speaks Ahead Of Kaizer Chiefs Clash Against Orlando Pirates

Lebogang Manyama is aware of the threat that Orlando Pirates will pose on the weekend but maintains that the most important thing to worry about is how Kaizer Chiefs get the result on the day.

The two sides will lock horns on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium in the most anticipated fixture of the season, with both bragging rights and the advantage in the title race up for grabs.

Amakhosi go into the encounter at the top of the log, six-points away from third placed Pirates, although all that could change should the Buccaneers come out victorious.

Saturday's encounter is a chance for the Bucs to get back to second position and keep the pressure on Chiefs at the top, as Amakhosi still have a game in hand.

But speaking to the media ahead of the Soweto Derby, Manyama pointed out that as much as it is a big occasion, it is as important as the rest of the fixtures in the league.

"It is an important game but it is the same as the previous 20 games that we have played in the league, so obviously a special game for the fans and the country – the biggest game in the country, we know what is.

"But in these kinds of games you have to make sure that you don't play the occasion, you play the game. Obviously you are facing a very strong, confident and talented team, but like our coach said, we are not worried about them, what is most important is what we have to do to get a good result for ourselves," the Chiefs midfielder said.
