Teams: Highlands Park v Sekhukhune United

Date: 21 February 2024

Venue: Dobsonville Stadium

Time: 19h00

Sekhukhune re-opened their DStv Premiership season on a winning note after a 3-1 victory over Richards Bay thanks to goals by Linda Mntambo, Chibuike Ohizu and Thamsanqa Masiya.

Babina Noko went all the way to the final of this tournament last season but lost the trophy to Orlando Pirates after a 2-1 loss at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

However, reaching the Nedbank Cup final gave Sekhukhune entry into the CAF Confederation Cup, after Pirates qualified for the CAF Champions League via the league route.

Highlands Park, meanwhile, are campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League after they sold their Premiership status to TS Galaxy in 2020.

The Lions of the North are lying sixth in the Gauteng stream, five points behind leaders Dondol Stars.

Highlands last featured in this tournament in 2020 after they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Mamelodi Sundowns.

Here's how they line up:

Sekhukhune United:  Makgolane, Mkhabela, Tiwani, Cardiso, Tshibwabwa, Mkhize, Masiya, Webber, Sarpong, Mntambo, Mncube.

Subs: Mtsweni, Rikhotso, Mobbie, Ntiya-Ntiya, Dias, Mokotjo, Ohizu, Mokhele.
