Royal AM, on the other hand, ended 2023 on a sour note after they played to a goalless draw against Moroka Swallows and lost 3-0 to AmaZulu.
Thwihli Thwahla are sitting just above the relegation zone in 14th place with 18 points, five points ahead of 15th-placed Richards Bay.
The KwaZulu-Natal side will be without Lesego Manganyi due to suspension.
