Chiefs are approaching the derby with the most confidence from the midweek results after they got their first win since the restart following a narrow 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows courtesy of a goal by teenage forward Wandile Duba.

The Glamour Boys remained in sixth spot on the table with 29 points, two points adrift of second-placed Stellenbosch.

Amakhosi will be without Edmilson Dove due to suspension.

Pirates, on the other hand, missed the chance to gain momentum with back-to-back wins after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cape Town Spurs.

The Buccaneers also went ahead thanks to teenager Relebohile Mofokeng but they were pegged back by a late goal by Gabriel Michael.

The Sea Robbers are placed fifth on the table, one point behind Stellies.

Pirates ended a five-match losing streak against Chiefs in the league after edging them 1-0 in the first round thanks to a goal by Evidence Makgopa.
