Orlando Pirates will be looking to revive their CAF Champions League aspirations when they host Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Saturday evening.

DStv Premiership

Teams: Orlando Pirates v Golden Arrows

Date: 06 April 2024

Venue: Orlando Stadium

Time: 17h30

Pirates dropped points for the second successive game after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Moroka Swallows on Wednesday, where Patrick Maswanganyi cancelled out an opener for Swallows by Lindokuhle Mtshali.

The Buccaneers are lying fourth on the log with 34 points, four points behind second-placed Stellenbosch, having played an extra game.

Pirates will be without Nkosinathi Sibisi due to suspension after he was red-carded in the tail end of the game against Swallows.

Arrows, on the other hand, maintained their unbeaten run since the return of head coach Steve Komphela after they came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with SuperSport United.

Ime Okon and Terrence Dzvukamanja gave Matsatsantsa a two-goal lead at half-time but late goals by Lungelo Nguse and Gladwin Shitolo salvaged a point for Komphela's charges.

Abafana Bes'thende went up to ninth on the table, equal on points with eighth-placed Kaizer Chiefs.

Pirates will be chasing a league double over Arrows after edging them 2-1 in the reverse.
