Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they host Polokwane City in their last game of the year on Saturday evening.

Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v Polokwane City

Date: 30 December 2023

Venue: Loftus Versfeld

Time: 17h45

Sundowns dropped points for the first time in 12 matches after they were held to a goalless draw by Cape Town City last Sunday.

The Brazilians were scheduled to play on Wednesday against Moroka Swallows but the game was called off after Swallows were unable to honour the fixture.

Masandawana are still perched at the top of the table and unbeaten, five points clear of second-placed SuperSport United, with three games in hand.

Polokwane, on the other hand, finally won their first game under interim coach Phuti Mohafe, a 2-1 win over Chippa United last weekend, which ended a winless sequence of six games.

Rise and Shine climbed up to eighth on the table with 20 points, half-way through the campaign.

Sundowns will be looking to complete a league double over City after beating them 2-0 back in August thanks to a brace by Lucas Ribeiro Costa.

Here's how they line up:
