However, Masandawana have not dropped their standards in the domestic league, after they extended their record of wins from the start of the season to ten matches following a narrow 1-0 win over AmaZulu last week.
Rulani Mokwena's charges are perched at the top of the table, five points clear, with four games in hand.
Spurs meanwhile, have not played a game since towards the end of November after a 3-0 defeat to Stellenbosch.
New coach Ernst Middendorp has not been able to stop the losing streak at the Urban Warriors, his two losses since being appointed extended their losing streak to four matches.
Spurs, as a result, are languishing at the bottom of the table with only three points, seven points adrift of 15th-placed Richards Bay.
