Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Richards Bay FC

Date: 23 December 2023

Venue: FNB Stadium

Time: 15h30

Amakhosi are starting to pick up form after back-to-back wins over Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City, both with a 1-0 scoreline, with Christian Saile and Pule Mmodi scoring in both matches respectively.

The Glamour Boys are lying sixth on the DStv Premiership table with 20 points after 14 matches.

Richards Bay, meanwhile, suffered their fourth defeat in their last six matches after a narrow 3-2 loss to Royal AM the last time out.

Kaitano Tembo's charges are languishing second-from-bottom on the table with ten points, five points behind 14th-placed TS Galaxy.

The Natal Rich Boyz will be without Boikanyo Komane due to suspension.

Chiefs completed a league double over the KwaZulu-Natal side last season, both with a 1-0 scoreline, with former defender Siyabonga Ngezana netting in an away victory and Dillan Solomons scoring at home.

Both clashes had a player sent off, as Yusuf Maart was sent off in the first half in Chiefs' first round win and goalkeeper Salim Magoola had an early red card in the defeat in Durban.
