Mamelodi Sundowns will be aiming to extend their record of the most consecutive wins when they visit AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening.

Date: 06 December 2023

Venue: King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium

Time: 19h30

The Brazilians set a new record of the most consecutive wins since the start of the season in the PSL era after they won their ninth straight league game with a 2-0 win over SuperSport United last week.

Masandawana, however, could not keep their perfect start in the CAF Champions League group stages after a narrow 1-0 loss to TP Mazembe this past Saturday.

The Tshwane giants are two points clear at the top of the table despite having four games in hand.

Rulani Mokwena will not be able to call upon the services of Bongani Zungu, who is suspended for this game.

AmaZulu, on the other hand, are also smarting from defeat, after they were knocked out of the Carling Knockout in the semi-finals after a 3-2 loss to TS Galaxy on Sunday.

Usuthu have been inconsistent in the league, with only one win in their last six matches and the last time they were in Premiership action they lost 1-0 to Stellenbosch.

As a result, Pablo Franco Martin's charges dropped down to 11th on the table with 15 points. Usuthu will be without Augustine Kwem due to suspension.

Sundowns only took four points from this fixture last season, as they were held to a 2-2 draw in the reverse in Durban after they had won the first round clash 1-0 in Tshwane.

Here's how they line up:
