Neither Richards Bay or Stellenbosch have reached a major cup final, although Stellenbosch did get to the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup last season.
The Natal Rich Boys booked their spot in the final four after overcoming Orlando Pirates via the penalty shoot-out last month.
Kaitano Tembo's charges have only won of their last three matches since the win over the Buccaneers.
Stellies, meanwhile, defeated the high-flying Polokwane City 2-0 in the previous round.
Steve Barker's men come into the encounter unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions, including a 3-0 win over Cape Town Spurs on Tuesday.
These two sides did meet in the DStv Premiership last month, with Stellenbosch walking away with the win thanks to a brace from Iqraam Rayners.
