Usuthu booked their spot in the semi-finals after drubbing provincial rivals Golden Arrows 3-0 courtesy of a hat-trick by Junior Dion.
Pablo Franco Martin's charges come into the game off a narrow 1-0 loss to Stellenbosch in the league last weekend and dropped down to 11th on the table with 15 points.
The Rockets, meanwhile, made it to the semi-finals after edging Sekhukhune United on penalties following a goalless draw in extra-time.
Galaxy were last in action last weekend after thrashing Polokwane City 3-0 and they moved up to tenth on the log with 15 points.
The sides have met in the first round in the league, where Usuthu edged the Rockets 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Augustine Kwem.
