Sundowns opened their Group A campaign with a 3-0 victory over ten-man Nouadhibou last Sunday courtesy of goals from Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Peter Shalulile and Gaston Sirino.

As for the Ravens, they had a losing start in the group after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Egyptian side Pyramids a week ago, whose sole goal early in the second stanza was scored by Bafana Bafana striker Fagrie Lakay.
The Congolese giants were not in action during the week, as they remained second in the Linafoot table, four points behind leaders Saint Eloi Lupopo with a game in hand.
The Brazilians have won the last three clashes against Mazembe, the last two of which was a double in the CAF Champions League group stages in the 2020/21 season.
Sundowns beat the Ravens 2-1 in Lubumbashi, with Shalulile and Lyle Lakay on target and edged them 1-0 in Tshwane thanks to a lone strike by Lebohang Maboe.
