Bafana Bafana will be chasing a podium finish in the Africa Cup of Nations when they clash against Democratic Republic of Congo in the third/fourth play-off match on Saturday evening.

Bafana could not reach their first final since 1998 after they lost on penalties against Nigeria in the semi-finals, following a dramatic 1-1 draw in extra-time.
South Africa will be hoping to repeat the feat they last achieved in 2000 after they finished third and won a bronze medal following a 4-2 win on penalties against Tunisia after a 2-2 draw in extra-time.
DRC, meanwhile, have won the bronze medal two times, in 1998 after a semi-final loss to Bafana and in 2015.
The Leopards could also not reach the final after a narrow 1-0 defeat to hosts Ivory Coast in the semi-finals.
The sides clashed in September last year, their first meeting since 2005, although in a friendly, where Bafana edged Sebastien Desabre's charges 1-0 courtesy of a first-half goal by Lyle Foster at Orlando Stadium.
