Starting XI: Morocco v Bafana, Big Blow For Atlas Lions

Bafana Bafana will be fighting for a spot in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations when they clash against Morocco on Tuesday evening at Stade Laurent Pokou.

Hugo Broos' qualified for the round of 16 after finishing in second place in Group E with four points, one point behind group winners Mali, following their goalless draw against Tunisia in their final round-robin encounter.

South Africa last reached the quarter-finals the last time they qualified for the tournament in 2019 after they stunned Egypt 1-0.

Morocco, on the other hand, made it through to the last 16 as Group F winners after they ended their group campaign unbeaten.

The Atlas Lions edged Zambia 1-0 in their final group game thanks to a lone strike by Hakim Ziyech, who has not made the squad for this evening's encounter.

The two sides were in the same qualifying group, where they had a win apiece both at home by a 2-1 scoreline.

Bafana were also in the same group as Morocco in the 2019 Afcon, where they narrowly lost 1-0 to the North African side.

The winner between the sides will face Cape Verde in the quarter-finals.
