Cape Town All Stars face a giant in Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday in a Nedbank Cup fixture. The first round of the tournament will see the home side hoping to overcome their opponents and move into the next phase, however with a star-studded Masandawana squad it would be a mountain to climb for the Mother City-outfit.

On Saturday, Manchester City will take on Leicester City in an EPL fixture. The Sky Blues will be looking to stretch their lead on the log standings, however, their opponents will be in search of three points after drawing 1-all against Swansea in their previous encounter.

Useful facts: Sundowns were able to extend their stay on top of the log when they beat a stubborn Cape Town City last Friday. Masandawana now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup where they travel to back to the Western Cape again to battle it out with First National Division side, CT All Stars, in the Last 32. The hosts, who are not doing so well in the NFD, will have to bring their A-game against in-form Ka Bo Yellow if they are to go beyond their appearance in the competition last season, which saw them getting knocked out in the first round by Bidvest Wits. Meanwhile, Pitso Mosimane's charges, who are seemingly on the verge of league title glory, are odds-on favourites to progress to the Last 16.

Manchester City v Leicester City (English Premier League)

League Rankings: Man City 1st Leicester 8th

Match 6 Soccer 6 Pool 10 February S6 V3 P1

Useful facts: City welcome the Foxes as they meet for the third time this season in all competitions. Despite being held to a draw by struggling Burnley last weekend, and with just 12 more games to go, the Citizens are still safe on top, 13 points clear of rivals, Manchester United. A win for the Leicester, who have struggled to maintain consistency, will see them move one spot up to seventh should Burnley drop points again. However, Pep Guardiola and his charges mean business as they have not allowed their only loss of the season, against Liverpool early in January, to imbalance them. The last time the two sides met in a league match, it was the log leaders that claimed a 2-0 victory at King Power Stadium in November 2017.
