The Avengers Game has been making headlines recently with a whole lot of gameplay reveals, and they have now confirmed that PlayStation fans will get exclusive access to one of the world's most popular heroes.
The Avengers War Table streams have showcased a whole lot of information about the upcoming superhero game, including co-op details, Beta information and story details.
Fans have gotten to see popular Avengers such as Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow in action, while they also provided information on the first DLC pack for the game, which will include Hawkeye.
However, PlayStation fans had reason to celebrate after a recent blog post on the official PlayStation site revealed that Spider-Man will join the Avengers in 2021, as an exclusive character on Sony consoles.
Sony, of course, have the rights to Spider-Man and according to the post, it will be Crystal Dynamics' own take on the hero, and not Insomniac Games' version of Spider-Man.
Explaining how he will be different in their universe, Jeff Adams, the Associate Art Director at Crystal Dynamics, said, "Partnering with the Avengers gives Spider-Man complete access to the impressive technology available to the team, such as custom web shooter-based technology from Hank Pym, SHIELD, Stark Industries, and more. And by constructing the perfect gear and skills combinations, you'll get the chance to live your Super Hero dreams through your ideal Spider-Man.
"We can't wait for you to add Spider-Man to your Marvel's Avengers roster in early 2021, and as we've promised before, he will be available at no additional cost to owners of the base game, exclusively on PlayStation."
Marvel's Avengers launches on 4 September 2020, with the PS5 version to arrive at a later date.
