As part of the plans for former Orlando Pirates youngster Augustine Mahlonoko to remain active with competitive football, the midfielder could be set for a new club this season.
Mahlonoko finished the 2023/24 season with Moroka Swallows, having joined the club halfway through the campaign as a free agent.

While indications had been that the Dube Birds had an option to extend the player's deal by another year after he signed a short-term contract when he joined, the sale of the club's top flight status to Marumo Gallants at the end of the season might have affected the plans.
The 22-year-old is currently a free agent after the option wasn't exercised although he has his handlers assessing options regarding a possible next move.
In half the season he was with Swallows, Mahlonoko made 13 appearances across all competitions and scored two goals.
According to a close source, the attack-minded player has been offered to a few clubs, including Sekhukhune United who haven't officially stated if they are done with reinforcing for the 2024/25 season.
"Sekhukhune United are one of the clubs that have been contacted for the player through the club's scouting department and it looks promising," said the source.

"There is interest shown in Augustine and it looks like he will be playing in the PSL again this season as Sekhukhune are not the only option for him. The boy is currently a free agent," the source said.
Prior to surfacing at Swallows, Mahlonoko had been without a club since parting ways with second tier outfit NB La Masia in December.
