Now, Siya sources close to the Brazilians have indicated that Championship side Leeds United in England, are the new club monitoring Mudau.

The sources added that scouts have recently visited South Africa to assess Mudau's performances. Previously, English club Burnley FC were also linked to the defender but since then they have been relegated to the Championship.

"There is growing interest in Sailor (Khuliso Mudau). Yes, there have been two known inquires before but now English side Leeds United are interested in him. They have made inquires as well and it's all up to Sundowns as they don't want to lose him. This time around, it's very tight and it will all depend on the talks if they open them," the Siya source stated.

A second Siya source, familiar with the scouting efforts, discusses how Leeds United scouts have attended several games to watch Mudau in action.

"The team (Leeds United) are really interested in him. The scouts have been to few of Sundowns and Bafana Bafana games to watch him in action. They have apparently recommended him to the technical team and management in England. At the moment there is nothing finalised but things seem to be moving in the right direction regarding Leeds United," the second source told the Siya crew.

Soccer Laduma contacted Mudau's agent Steve Kapeluschnik who could neither confirm nor deny the Leeds United interest.

"There has been interest in him but that's all I can say," Kapeluschnik told Soccer Laduma.

The escalating interest in Mudau from multiple clubs underscores his rising profile abroad. As the situation unfolds, the outcome could have a significant impact on Mudau's career trajectory. However, even if he stays in South Africa, he would be set to enjoy a historic season with not just the African Football League and Caf Champions League to play, but also the Fifa Club World Cup.
