Mamelodi Sundowns' standout defender, Khuliso Mudau, is attracting significant attention from Europe, with a French Ligue 1 side being the latest club to express interest in the Bafana Bafana star.
This development adds to the existing intrigue reportedly from English side Burnley and Belgian outfit Genk, highlighting Mudau's rising profile on the international stage.

Siya sources close to the matter have indicated that RC Lens have been closely monitoring Mudau's performances and are keen on securing his services.
"The interest in Mudau is growing each and every week. There are other clubs which have just shown interest but others have actually inquired about him. The French club RC Lens has inquired about him too. They are interested in having him in their team as soon as they can. They value him highly and their scouts have been following his progress," the Siya source told Soccer Laduma.
The pursuit of Mudau by RC Lens underscores the defender's impressive form and consistency, both at club and international level. However, the situation with Burnley presents a variable, as the departure of coach Vincent Kompany, who initially showed interest in Mudau, is leaving the English club for Bayern Munich.
"For now RC Lens are the main one that have inquired about him. Burnley FC's coach who had interest in him has left the club so we are not sure if the new coach knows him or if the scouts will inform him about Sailor (Mudau). But this French team seems serious at the moment because the scouts are the ones who recommended him to the team," the source observed.
At 29 years of age, Mudau's contract with Sundowns is set to expire in June 2026. His contributions have been pivotal, featuring in 14 DStv Premiership games this season, in a season where the Brazilians had to rotate the squad because of the African Football League and Africa Cup of Nations adding to their busy schedule.
Additionally, Mudau's role in the national team, particularly during Afcon, has been increasingly prominent, earning 14 caps for Bafana Bafana and solidifying his reputation as a reliable defender.
As the interest from RC Lens and potentially other European clubs continue to develop, Sundowns face the prospect of losing one of their key players. Mudau's potential move to Europe would not only mark a significant step in his career but also reflect the quality of talent emerging from the South African top flight.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment and the club decided not to respond on this report.
