The Red Castle revealed that South African forwards Thembonkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula will remain with the club ahead of next season following the end of their respective loan spells, Le Site Info reported.
Lorch, on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, and Mailula, on loan from Canadian side Toronto FC, both reportedly have a purchase clause in their contracts, according to the Arabian publication.
The clause allows Wydad to purchase the players for the previously agreed-upon fees without needing to negotiate with Sundowns or Toronto.
Le Site Info claim that Amine Benhachem, the club's current interim coach while Rulani Mokwena remains sidelined on special leave, suggested that both players should remain with the club for the future following impressive recent performances.
It is said that Technical director Hassan Benabicha has also supported the move.
Both players performed well in Wydad's 3-1 league victory over FAR Rabat as Mailula set up the team's first goal and Lorch scored the team's second goal of the game.
