Nkota made a stunning start to life in Saudi Arabia when he scored in a 2-1 win against Knowledge Musona's former side Al-Kholood in his first game for Al-Ettifaq.
It took the 20-year-old just seven minutes to make his mark with the Saudi Pro League side when he scored the opening goal of the game with a neat left-footed strike from outside the box.
John Buckley levelled things for Al-Kholood before former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum scored the winner in the 61st minute to secure the win for the Knight of Ad-Dahna.
Speaking after his debut, Nkota was thankful for the opportunity to be part of the team and gave a word of thanks to the club's fans for welcoming him to Saudi Arabia.
"It’s a very good league, competitive, so I’m very happy to be here," Nkota said. "I have a very good group of people, my teammates and technical team. I’d like to thank them for the opportunity they gave me," the former Orlando Pirates star added.
"Thank you very much for welcoming me. I’m very happy with today’s match. The first match is very important," he added.
Nkota added that he was settling in nicely to his new surroundings and that his teammates played an important role in helping him.
"You know, sometimes as a person you need to make yourself happy,” the Bafana international explained.

"Wherever you go to join a new team, feel comfortable. Don’t be scared to be around the players. I came in the pre-season, and I showed them what kind of person I am. And they welcomed me well. I was very happy to be in this group of people. I came because Ettifaq welcomed me very well," Nkota concluded.
