Venue: Solomon Mahlangu Stadium
The last four matches in this season's play-offs produced four draws, Stars' 1-1 with draw Cape Town City on Wednesday was the first clash get goals.
Stars made the livelier start to the contest as they did against City, and they should have taken the lead on 12 minutes when Fils Ndoh Moukete nodded the ball into the path of Sesane, who blazed over from six yard out.
While Orbit struggled to carve out chances as the half went on, the hosts carved out a big chance on 34 minutes when Moukete got on the end of a cross at the far post but ended up volleying wide of the target.
Unfortunately, that proved to be the final chance of a rather disappointing first half where neither Casric nor Orbit registered a single effort on target.
The game opened up a bit more after the second period as Orbit should have taken the lead ten minutes in when Siyabulela Mabele squandered a glorious in a one-on-one situation by fluffing his line in the box before the Stars goalkeeper was able to gather.
The hosts freshened up their stall with around 20 minutes to play as Kermit Erasmus, Tlhalefang Kgabane and Ofentse Tlholoe with the hope of bagging a winning goal in the closing stages of the second period.
However, the deadlock was broken in the 79th minute as Mabele unleashed a strike from distance that took a big deflection and sailed into the far corner for Orbit's first goal in the play-offs.
Stars nearly pulled themselves level in second-half stoppage time but Orbit goalkeeper Sekhoane Moerane pulled off a superb reactionary save to ensure the visitors walked away with maximum points.
