Dzvukamanja: Not Every One Hated Me At Pirates

Dzvukamanja: Not Every One Hated Me At Pirates

SuperSport United striker Terrence Dzvukamanja has opened up on his departure from Orlando Pirates and discussed how he's settling down at his current club.

His move across Gauteng at the start of the current season from Bucs to Matsatsantsa a Priori left many raising their eyebrows, and now in an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma the Zimbabwean stated that it was time he faced a new challenge in his career.

"There was no bad blood between me and Pirates when I left. You know in football you have to face new challenges here and there and it was time for me to move on. It started between me and my agent and then my agent sat down with Pirates and they agreed that I could move on," Dzvukamnja told Soccer Laduma.

"But what you saw on social media that I was going back home to Zimbabwe. (That) was not true. It was just a matter of moving on and facing a new challenge," Dzvukamanja added.

When asked about the treatment of certain quarters of supporters at Bucs toward him, whether that had forced his move to SuperSport United, the Zimbabwean finally opened up on the matter.

"No. I didn't move because of the supporters. You know not all supporters hated me. There were supporters who loved me and they wanted to me stay. Even the club wanted me to stay but as I have told you, there comes a time in a footballer's life that you need to move on and face new challenges and that's what happened," he added.

Now, Dzvukamanja has underlined that he is happy at SuperSport United and discusses his targets going forward.

"Oh yeah, I am happy here. I have been out with injury for a few weeks and I have just come back in the past two games and I still need to settle at the team but so far so good and I am happy with how things have been going on so far.

"But I want to contribute more to the team so that we can win silverware and achieve things together," Dzvukamanja told Soccer Laduma.

SuperSport United's next game is a DStv Premiership encounter against Golden Arrows on April 3 at Mpumalanga Stadium.
