Orlando Pirates loanee Monnapule Saleng could be facing more demands at Orbit College, as the newly-promoted side revealed their policy of signing players.

Top stars at big teams are only as good as their teammates and as Saleng drops down to a small team for the 2025/26 season, he could find himself as the only experienced player.

Most teams who are promoted to the Betway Premiership make efforts to sign experienced players, to sustain the club in the top flight.

Ahead of their first campaign in the Betway Premiership, Orbit, however, have notably only signed Saleng, Thuso Moleleki and Yanga Madiba, all on loan from Pirates and have no intentions of adding players with PSL experience.

"The boys that promoted the club also need this opportunity, because they have been here for the past eight years and they deserve to play in the Betway Premiership, that's why we kept the same team, because I think we're not going to sign big players," Orbit College head coach Pogiso Makhoye said on 947's MSW.

"Or bring any other addition, we need to promote these young boys, I mean it's been our culture from ABC (Motsepe League). That's why there's so many players in the top flight teams from Orbit College, because we're good in terms development.

"So we're not even going to worry that we need experienced players, I mean where were they when we played in the NFD? These players promoted the team, they've beaten a team that was playing in top flight, Cape Town City, which means they deserve to play in the Betway Premiership," Makhoye added.

The Mswenko Boys' other signings include Thato Mohlamme from Richards Bay, Lucky Malatsi from Lerumo Lions and Yamkela Gumede from Hungry Lions.

The North West side will open their campaign away to AmaZulu on Saturday.
