Thabo Nthethe, left, has been released by Motsepe Foundation Championship club Casric Stars.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thabo Nthethe is looking forward to the next chapter in his life, with Soccer Laduma being informed of his exit at Casric Stars.

Nthethe served as an assistant coach at the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, playing a key role behind the scenes as the club qualified for the end of season play-offs on two consecutive occasions.

Soccer Laduma has been informed that Casric have not renewed the contract of the former Bafana Bafana defender and there's a good chance of him securing a job in the Betway Premiership for next season, with options in the Motsepe Foundation Championship as well for the 40-year-old.

Nthethe is believed to have attracted interest from Magesi FC, as previously reported by Soccer Laduma, but indications are that there are other clubs eyeing him to add valuable experience to their technical teams.

While at Casric, Nthethe played a key role in guiding players, using the experience he gained throughout his playing career.
