Absa Premiership
Teams: Cape Town City v Orlando Pirates
Date: 04 May 2019
Venue: Athlone Stadium
Cape Town City will be looking to halt Orlando Pirates' Absa Premiership title charge when the sides meet at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
Pirates and Sundowns are level on points at the top of the standings, but the Soweto giants lead by virtue of a superior goal difference. Meanwhile, City are three six points adrift, but still have a minuscule mathematical chance of winning the title. City boss Benni McCarthy will come up against the side he scored 10 goals in 24 games for as a player. McCarthy will be without Kermit Erasmus, who is suspended. Pirates, on the other hand, could welcome back Xola Mlambo, Jackson Mabokgwane and Kudakwashe Mahachi. The Buccanneers are on a four-match winning streak and unbeaten in their last eight in the league. Milutin Sredojevic's side are coming off the back of a 1-0 victory over Maritburg United last Wednesday. City claimed a 2-0 victory over Chippa United on Friday and as a result, have had two days less to rest than their more-fancied counterparts. The last time the sides met, City came from two goals behind to claim a 2-2 draw, with Ayanda Patosi netting a second-half brace for the Cape side. Here's how they line up:
