Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise is hoping the FIFA Club World Cup will open doors for South African players to move abroad, so that there are new stories to tell than just those of Benni McCarthy and Steven Pienaar.
Modise is in the USA with Sundowns as part of the Pitchside Podcast, but was also heavily involved in Puma's launching of the club's jerseys for the Club World Cup.

As someone who never got an opportunity to play abroad, Modise is hoping Sundowns' participation at the competition in the USA will be the start of more players making moves overseas.
After Sundowns' impressive start with a 1-0 victory over Ulsan HD earlier this week, more eyes could be on the Tshwane giants when they take on German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. It will be the perfect platform for the players to catch the eye of European scouts.
