There are a few players who could still leave Mamelodi Sundowns despite making the final squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Sundowns, who are on a high after registering a 1-0 victory over Ulsan HD in their opening Club World Cup Group F clash, named a 35-man squad for the tournament, including some players who had initially been left behind, with the plan of joining the team before the start of the competition.

Soccer Laduma understands that there are players in the team in USA who have a high chance of leaving the team, be it permanently or on loan, when they return from the Club World Cup.
Neo Maema is one of the players whose future at Chloorkop is uncertain. Before Sundowns left for the USA, the former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder did not want to commit on what the future holds for him at the club, simply just saying 'I am still a Sundowns player'.

Sundowns exercised the one-year option in Terrence Mashego's contract, but that does not guarantee that he will stay. A move to Stellenbosch FC remains a possibility while the Siya crew reported Kaizer Chiefs are interested in him. Sundowns are looking to sign Fawaaz Basadien from the Cape Winelands outfit so then Stellies may have an advantage in the race for Mashego.
