During their successful campaign to secure an eighth consecutive league title, the Siya crew first reported how Mamelodi Sundowns were intending to streamline their squad ahead of the new season.
This plan has become public knowledge since then and the Brazilians have already released several players including Sipho Mbule, Rivaldo Coetzee, Lebohang Maboe, Sifiso Ngobeni, Thabang Sibanyoni, Sanele Tshabalala, and Lucas Suarez. Now, the Tshwane giants are preparing to part ways with additional squad members.

Insiders close to the club have indicated that young attacking midfielder Ntando Nkosi could be the next player earmarked for either a loan move or permanent transfer.
"The club believes that the youngster has a great future but the competition at the club is tough and they are believed to be looking at giving him more game time away from the club. At the moment, they are looking at either loaning him or selling him outright but it's believed he is not in the coach's plans as things stand," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
A second source close to the club stated that there is no shortage of interest in the talented midfielder, with clubs from both the Betway Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship inquiring about his availability.

"It is believed that he is not short of suitors whether on a permanent deal or even on loan but there has been enquiries for Ntando (Nkosi). It's just unfortunate that he can't play more regularly at Sundowns and it's believed that a move away from Sundowns could be beneficial for the player's growth," the second source revealed.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder was promoted to the senior team during the 2022/23 season but has since struggled to establish himself in Sundowns' star-studded line-up, which has prompted the club's decision to consider his future elsewhere.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment on the player but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
