Mamelodi Sundowns have been quiet in the transfer market so far, but Soccer Laduma understands the Tshwane giants will soon be making some unveilings of new faces, as they are currently busy behind the scenes.
Sundowns had the opportunity to sign players during the special transfer window before the FIFA Club World Cup, but opted to go with the squad they had.

After an impressive showing in the USA, they are now looking to bolster their squad, though they are not expected to make too many signings. Head coach Miguel Cardoso wants a manageable squad and Soccer Laduma understands the club would like to bring in a couple of players they can keep for the long-term.
One of the players believed to have caught the eye of Sundowns is Cape Town City striker Jody Ah Shene, who was part of Amajita at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sundowns have shown in recent seasons that they sign players they can at least have on board for three or more years, having gone for some players under the age of 25. This includes the likes of Jayden Adams, Asekho Tiwani, Thapelo Maseko, Kegan Johannes, Arthur Sale, Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Zuko Mdunyalwa. Costa and Mdunyelwa, now 26, were under 25 when Sundowns signed them.

The 20-year-old Ah Shene made 16 appearances in all competitions last season for the Citizens and scored one goal. He was the top scorer at the 2024 U20 Cosafa Cup, scoring four goals as Amajita went on to win the competition.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment on the situation, but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
