A promising young Mamelodi Sundowns talent's impressive performances on both continental and global stages are understood to have caught the attention of European scouts, leading to a formal transfer request.
The teenager's recent exploits in major competitions have not gone unnoticed, with overseas interest now materialising into potential approaches, according to insiders privy to information.
After his progress during last season and at the FIFA Club World Cup, a Mamelodi Sundowns youngster, Kutlwano Letlhaku is believed to have attracted interest from Europe, with a Portuguese team understood to be assessing the player.
The player's agent Matthew Moore of Centre Circle confirmed to Soccer Laduma that the player has put in a transfer request at Sundowns.
"Sorry, I’m in the middle of a transfer. I don’t have anything additional to add to the story right now. When I have more information, I’ll let you know. Thanks. The player has handed in a transfer request," Moore stated to Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, an insider close to Sundowns has discussed where the 19-year-old could stand with the transfer request at the moment.

"For now, he is still in the coach's and the team's plans. They want to use him more this season, and that's why there is nothing they are doing about the transfer request (so far)," the insider told the Siya crew.
Letlhaku is tipped to have a promising future, and was influential in South Africa's Under-20 AFCON win in Egypt, which qualified them for the U20 World Cup in Chile.
He was also part of the Sundowns squad at the FIFA Club World Cup where he made a substitute appearance against Borussia Dortmund, creating a goal in the 4-3 defeat.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment on Kutlwano's situation, but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
