Orbit College winger Monnapule Saleng will miss out on a chance to square up against Orlando Pirates on Tuesday night, but the on-loan star isn’t losing sleep over it.
As part of the loan deal that saw Saleng, Yanga Madiba, and Thuso Moleleki join the Betway Premiership newcomers from the Buccaneers, the trio are prohibited from playing against their parent club.
This means the Mswenko Boys will travel to Orlando Stadium without three key squad members who know the Sea Robbers well.

Saleng, in particular, has been a consistent figure for Orbit since the start of the campaign, featuring in every match so far, while Moleleki has seen just a handful of minutes and Madiba is yet to make his debut.
Despite missing a high-profile clash against his former teammates, insiders at Orbit insist the winger is not bothered by the clause.
“He’s not affected at all,” a source close to the player revealed to the Siya crew. “He knew about the agreement from the start, so it doesn’t come as a surprise. His focus is on helping Orbit in other matches and using those opportunities to get back to his best. He’s a humble boy and all he wants is to keep improving and grow his career.”
Orbit head into the tie in 12th place with three points from their opening three games, having beaten Siwelele FC but stumbled against AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United.

Pirates themselves have had a mixed start, winning just once in the league, although their morale will be high after dumping Mamelodi Sundowns out of the MTN8 on the weekend.
Although he’ll sit out this clash, Saleng’s focus is firmly on the long season ahead as he looks to play a key role for Orbit and rebuild his career.
