A former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper has given his thoughts on who would be the perfect number one shot-stopper for the Soweto giants next season.
The goalkeeping department has been a major concern at Naturena this season, with the club not being able to find a regular number one shot-stopper. Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi have shared the responsibility, but both goalkeepers have not really been convincing between the sticks.

Bruce Bvuma and Brylon Petersen have not been given opportunities and their contracts with the Soweto giants come to an end in June.
Ex-Amakhosi goalkeeper Aubrey Mathibe feels former Bidvest Wits shot-stopper Brandon Petersen will be the perfect man to take up the number one spot in the starting line-up next season. Petersen, reported by the Siya crew, is expected to be registered by Amakhosi ahead of the 2021/22 PSL season.
"I think they already have a goalkeeper (Brandon Petersen). He is a good goalkeeper and he reminds me of Emile Baron. I prefer him to be number one," Mathibe tells the Siya crew.

Mathibe, meanwhile, feels Khune needs a fresh start and it would be best for him to move on.
"I love Khune, but I think the time has come for him to move on because he is under too much pressure now. He is alone against the world, so he will never enjoy his time there like before. Maybe he needs a fresh start. But for me, he is still the best."
