After Patrick Mayo revealed that Kaizer Chiefs have called him to enquire about the availability of his son Khanyisa, the player's agent has come out to make it clear that the striker has two more years on his contract in Algeria and is happy at CR Belouizdad.
Speaking exclusively to Kickoff.com, Mayo Senior revealed that Amakhosi made contact with him to discuss his son, as he further stated that the final decision does not rest with him. Amakhosi would need to contact Belouizdad directly and the player would also need to be interested in a move.

His agent, Basia Michaels, spoke to Soccer Laduma, giving a response on the matter. Michaels pointed out that the former Cape Town City forward still has a contract.
"Khanyisa's currently got two years left on his contract with CRB. He is currently in Algeria. He arrived on Sunday and they started training yesterday (Monday). I have had no communication with Chiefs about Khanyisa. The only communication I had with Chiefs are communications of the past," Michaels, owner of QT Sports, said to Soccer Laduma.
"At this present moment, this is not a thing. Why? Because Khanyisa has a contract at CRB. He's got two years left and he's happy to stay there. He wants to continue that journey. I've received no offers for Khanyisa because he had just signed a deal a year ago."

Amakhosi are believed to be in the market for another striker before the close of the transfer window and Mayo is one of the players they are understood to have identified. Getting him on board, however, won't be easy.
