As Kaizer Chiefs continue their search for an experienced striker, a Tanzanian forward previously on their radar may have re-emerged as a potential target.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi had shown interest in a Tanzanian striker who once played under coach Nasreddine Nabi during the mentor's time at Young Africans SC in Tanzania.

Insiders close to both the club and the player have indicated that Chiefs are rekindling their interest in Clement Mzize, but mentioned how Champions League clubs have an advantage.
First, the insider discussed foreign interest from Egypt and Morocco.
"There are many offers for Mzize. There is Zamalek, Al Sadd as well as Al Masry and Wydad Casablanca. All these teams are following Mzize's situation at the club. But the only official offer is believed to have come from Zamalek and Al Sadd to be almost $900,000 (approximately R16 million).
"They are waiting for how the clubs can get a good offer for the player. It's believed that Al Sadd offered a salary of almost $30,000 per month," the source told Soccer Laduma.
The source then stated that while Mzize is understood to have considered a move to Chiefs, the lack of CAF Champions League football at Naturena is a significant concern.
"The interest from Chiefs is there, but it is not easy. The problem is their performance. If it's in Africa then players need to play in the Champions League or Confederation Cup. Yes, Nabi built the foundation for him. They know each other and that would play an advantage in the (potential) move," the source added.
Meanwhile, a second insider explained that with Chiefs running out of time due to complications with Etiosa Ighodaro's situation from Sundowns, they have returned to Mzize as an alternative target.
"It's not the first time the club is believed to be interested in the striker. But now the difference is they have failed to get the other targets including Ighodaro from Sundowns, so it's believed they are looking at Mzize again," the second insider told the Siya crew.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing.
This publication also reached out to Yanga SC president Hersi Ally Said, who stated the following.
"They (Chiefs) have not sent an official email," Said told Soccer Laduma, without elaborating on other possible communication between the clubs.
It remains to be seen if discussions for Mzize were informal, outside of official emails.
