Insiders close to the club and Lilepo have indicated that he received a knock to his thigh late in the match against Stellies but the overall damage was not severe. Lilepo was in pain after being taken off the pitch but the speed at which they had treated the player will boost his healing and readiness for the upcoming game.

The Siya sources added that Lilepo is already feeling much better and should be fit for Saturday's match.

"No, it's not a serious injury. It was a precautionary measure not to aggravate his knock. It was just a knock on the thigh which was uncomfortable at the moment but the team was flying back on Saturday and he was already feeling much better. He joined the rest of the team in the recovery training. He is expected to be ready for the next game. There is almost a week to improve his fitness and be ready for the game against Chippa United," the Siya source stated.

Additionally, the Siya source stated that the medical and conditioning teams are working with George Matlou, whom they hope will also be ready by Saturday.

"Yes, he was injured in the Soweto Derby and that's why he missed the AmaZulu and Stellenbosch games but things are looking positive for him with the medical and conditioning teams but whether he plays or not will depend on team selection. But he is doing well and looks much better and by Saturday he will be ready as well," the second source observed.

However, Chiefs will still be without striker Wandile Duba, who is sidelined with a knee injury and is expected to return to action around the end of March.
