Chiefs will play Kotoko at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 26 July, a change from last year's visit to the Free State.
"This is definitely an important pre-season fixture for us as Kaizer Chiefs in terms of the stategic direction that we are taking in terms of preparations," Motaung told journalists.
"The Toyota Cup unites African clubs and it is uniting African clubs and supporters and culture. Last year we played against Young Africans of Tanzania.
"We go to the cities that love football and this year we will be in Durban which is our home away from home," Motaung concluded.

But also, we will have the legends game between Chiefs' Legends and KZN Legends to curtain raise the main encounter, " Motaung concluded.
