The story
Thembinkosi Lorch is not letting up in terms of his conditioning. The former Orlando Pirates star recently gave fans a sneak peek into his intense gym routine on Instagram, showing his commitment to staying in top form as his club prepares for the new and improved FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
Lorch and Cassius Mailula's Wydad will next week take their place as one of the four African teams competing in the US-hosted Club World Cup, along with Al Ahly of Egypt, Esperance from Tunisia and Lorch's parent club, Betway Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Wydad, who qualified for the Club World Cup as winners of the CAF Champions League in 2022, are in Group G alongside Manchester City (England), Juventus (Italy), and Al Ain (United Arab Emirates).
Having featured in the Red Castle's back-to-back friendly match defeats to FC Porto and Sevilla, "Nyoso" is turning his focus firmly to the global club showpiece after the Casablanca-based club shared a behind-the-scenes look at the playmaker's graft in the gym.
