Khama Billiat to the Soweto Giants/ overseas
Even before the window opened talks about Billiat's contract were already a hot topic, with him failing to renew his deal with the Mamelodi Sundowns despite having just months remaining on his current contract, reports claimed that he was wanted by both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. Some even claimed that he was a target for overseas clubs like FK Qarabag, but curiously enough, though, the talented Zimbabweans stayed put, much to the satisfaction of many Downs fans.
Andile Jali's Return To The PSL
Many speculated that the former Orlando Pirates star, who's been plying his trade in Belgium with KV Oostende for the last four years, was finally going to return home to perhaps re-join his old team or even sign with the Pitso Mosimane's Brazilians. With the star seemingly teasing fans with his ambiguous tweets, many thought it was a pretty much a done deal and that the player was finally returning home... However the whole saga didn't progress much further than the internet.
Thulani Hlatshwayo To Pirates
It has been reported that the Bidvest Wits skipper grew up as a Sea Robbers supporter, and many thought that he would be reunited the club he supported during his childhood this season. Although the Clever Boys' president made it quite clear that the club had no intentions of releasing the player, it certainly did not stop the rumour-mill.
