The story
Departing Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove has been receiving love from his now former teammates as he's set to embark on a new adventure.
Just a day after Dove shared a heartfelt message to the club and its supporters following the official announcement of his exit, his defensive compadres Inacio Miguel, Given Msimango, Zitha Kwinika and Bruce Bvuma all wished him well with lovely Instagram tributes.
Chiefs confirmed on Tuesday that the Mozambique international will leave the club when his contract comes to an end later this month.
The 30-year-old joined the Soweto giants in 2022 and went on to make 56 appearances across all competitions during his time at Naturena.
"My guy, thank you for being a brother. As you always say, 'God will make a way,' and he will definitely do so. I will miss you so much," wrote Kwinika, who posted a slideshow of snaps of himself alongside Dove on the pitch.
Amakhosi legend Itumeleng Khune also dedicated a post to his former teammate Dove, writing, "All the best, member," attaching a snap of the two of them in Chiefs colours.
