The story
There were numerous joyous scenes at Siwelele FC's General Meeting at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday.
The spirit of Bloemfontein was alive with unity, hope, and passion as fans, clad in the green and white colours of Siwelele, were in full voice — chanting, dancing, and standing behind their team, who announced Lehlohonolo Seema as the club's new head coach.
Seema, a Bloemfontein Celtics legend, led some chants after addressing the supporters, standing alongside businessman Calvin Lee John, the son of Sports Minister Gayton Mackenzie, who acquired SuperSport United's status in early July, with the hope of reviving the now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic, affectionately known as Siwelele.
The scenes over the weekend could be a sign of things to come for Sewelele, who will play their home games at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville this coming season, with a plan to move to Bloem permanently at a later stage.

Seema's side is set to kick off their 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign at home against Golden Arrows on Saturday, 9 August.
