The story
After making 47 appearances in all competitions for Orlando Pirates in the 2024/25 season, goalkeeper Sipho Chaine is enjoying his off-season break in pure bliss.
Currently holidaying in Doha, Qatar, the Bafana Bafana shot-stopper has been sharing glimpses of his Middle Eastern getaway on his Instagram account, showcasing the luxurious settings at what looks to be a mall.
Chaine shared snaps of him exploring parts of the Qatari capital, with one of his snaps showing him trying on Mont Blanc shades – prepping for Pirates’ upcoming pre-season trip to Spain perhaps?
The 28-year-old, who kept 21 clean sheets last season, was also pictured at Lebanese restaurant Rawche Lounge in Doha's city centre.
After a long and demanding season, Chaine's trip offers him a perfect opportunity to relax and recharge before returning to action with the Buccaneers ahead of the 2025/26 campaign under a new coach.
