The story
Orlando Pirates got their MTN8 title defence off to a dream start after a dominant 2-0 victory over Polokwane City in front of a packed Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.
Although Oswin Appollis stood out the most out of Pirates' six debutants on the day, Sihle Nduli also received plaudits from the Ghosts on social media.
Within the first 20 minutes of the encounter, Sihle Nduli played a role in Appolis’ goal by playing a ball through to Boitumelo Radiopane on the edge of the area, who slid the ball for Appolis, who tucked the ball into the bottom right corner to find the opener.
Nduli's solid performance at the heart of the Buccaneers' midfield, alongside Sipho Mbule, did not go unnoticed on X, with the ex-Stellies man making the ideal first impression on his debut, Es'godini.
