The story

Over a month since his departure was announced, Miguel Timm reflected on his time at Orlando Pirates with a heartening farewell to the club and its passionate supporters.

The Buccaneers announced Timm's departure on their social media channels at the end of May, releasing the experienced midfielder following the expiry of his contract in June.

It marked the end of a three-season tenure for the Bafana Bafana international, who played a crucial role in the team's victories in the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup under coach Jose Riveiro.

Despite falling down the midfield pecking order in his final season at the club, the former Marumo Gallants baller remained an endearing figure to the Happy People, who would, in unison, shout "Timmmm…" whenever he got on the ball.

Timm, in a shared post with his representatives at QT Sports, posted a farewell statement to his Orlando Pirates family, rounding off his message with some lovely words for the Bucs fans.

"A special mention to the best supporters!!!! Thank you for allowing me to represent millions of you over the years; you will always have a special place in my heart. ONCE, ALWAYS," wrote Timm.

Take a look at his full farewell statement to Ezimnyama Ngenkani:

Today, Sekhukhune United confirmed the signing of the 33-year-old, as they continue to build a solid squad for Eric Tinkler for the upcoming season.

Timm hopes to resurrect his career at Babina Noko, where he'll hope to add quality and a wealth of experience in the middle of the park alongside fellow ex-Buccaneers Thabang Monare and Linda Mntambo.

Here's a look at Timm's wholesome off-season content shared on IG, as he prepares for a new chapter at Sekhukhune:
