The story
MaMkhize painted the city of Manzini black and gold for Mbabane Highlanders AM's season opener at the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup at Mavuso Sports Centre.
As per Eswatini Positive News, MaMkhize's club, which reportedly conducted its pre-season at the Royal Ranch in Pietermaritzburg, suffered a 2-0 loss to Ezulwini United over the weekend.
In the build-up to the encounter, MaMkhize, joined by her entourage, which included South African sporting superfan Mama Joy Chauke and influencer Serge Cabonge, dressed in the black and gold of Mbabane Highlanders AM – a design that mirrors the merch worn by the now-defunct Royal AM.
"The reality has kicked in, and the grind doesn't stop. After weeks of preparation, it was powerful to finally see the boys in motion. This is the season of building, of breaking limits, of owning the game. Watch this space. The young generation is the future," wrote an optimistic MaMkhize in the caption to one of two Instagram posts.
