The story
After securing his second-ever Nedbank Cup winners medal as a player, Kaizer Chiefs attacker Gaston Sirino walked into a house full of love.
The 34-year-old was surprised with a welcome home party from his wife, Melanie and their three children at their Johannesburg home, with his significant other taking to Instagram to share the tear-jerking scenes.
Sirino scored from the penalty spot in Saturday's final as Kaizer Chiefs went on to end a decade-long wait for silverware with a 2-1 win over defending champs, Orlando Pirates, at a sold-out Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Nedbank Cup becomes the 13th trophy that the Uruguayan has won since he arrived in South Africa from Bolivia in 2018, meaning he’s won silverware in every season in his PSL career.
