The story
Mfundo Vilakazi rejoiced on Saturday as his Kaizer Chiefs teammates clinched the club's record 14th Nedbank Cup title, their first trophy since "Obrigado" was a nine-year-old.
Vilakazi, who scored one goal in three of his Nedbank Cup appearances this season, went on a posting spree on Instagram after Amakhosi's win, posting a series of stories celebrating the triumph with quotes that read:
"They celebrate our losses like we ain't gonna win again," and "It was 10 May, number 10 scored. 10-year drought, the curse is finished, we also scored in the last 10 minutes," shared the Amajita number ten.
The youngster was also seen showing his frustration with losing connection to the game while at the team hotel, hilariously throwing his phone on the bed, as captured by his teammate, Tylon Smith.
His frustrations didn't last long as Vilakazi sang and revelled in the win alongside Amajita teammates, Takalani Mazhamba, Sfiso Timba and Gopolang Taunyana.
